DANGEROUS Foods to Avoid
- Chocolate - Contains theobromine, toxic to dogs

- Xylitol (in sugar-free gum, some peanut butter) - Can cause insulin release leading to liver failure
- Alcohol - Even small amounts can cause intoxication, coma, or death
- Coffee/caffeine - Can be fatal
- Macadamia nuts - Can cause weakness, hyperthermia, vomiting
- Avocado - Contains persin, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea
- Raw/undercooked meat, eggs, bones - Risk of bacteria and choking
- Yeast dough - Can expand and cause gas, pain, and bloating

A complete and balanced dog food should provide all necessary nutrients, but some dogs may benefit from:
